Volunteer Opportunities

There are a variety of ways to get involved at St. Paul Catholic School. To volunteer your time and talents, please call the school office.- Grandparent Program: Help students grow in their learning by assisting with homework after school.
- After School Programming: Do you have a special skill or area of interest? Share that with students as part of an after school program. Examples include a basketball skills clinic, tennis clinic or art classes. Whatever your talent or interest may be, we invite you to see how it can be shared with students.
- Lunch Help: Volunteers are needed to assist with lunch in the cafeteria. This includes helping to open packages, monitoring students and serving meals as appropriate.
- Recess Help: Students love recess and we can use help in watching them play. Recess is held daily from 11:20 a.m. until 12:10 p.m.
- Auction: The auction is scheduled for October 1. We will need help with decorating and set up before the event, clean-up afterwards and everything in between.

Protecting God's Children
The Diocese will evaluate the criminal history background of all diocesan, school and parish employees, as well as volunteers who have regular contact with minors. Specifically, they will utilize the resources of law enforcement and other community agencies.
Every adult (18+ years of age) who works with minors at St. Paul Catholic Parish and School, even one time, must complete an online SAFE ENVIRONMENT training organized by our Diocese.:
SAFE ENVIRONMENT
The Diocese of Lafayette-in-Indiana is dedicated to ensuring a culture that is safe, open, welcoming and protective of all people and especially our children. The Diocese has developed an online safe environment program. We will cooperate with parents/guardians, civil authorities, educators, and community organizations to provide education and training for children, youth, parents/guardians, ministers, educators, volunteers and others about ways to make and maintain a safe environment for children. The Diocese makes clear to clergy and members of the community the standards of conduct for clergy and other persons in positions of trust with regard to abuse.
Finally, all employees, as well as volunteers with any level of contact with youth will successfully complete safe environment training on a regular basis. School staff must complete the following training and receive a certificate of completion for the following:- Protecting Children in the 21st Century
- Internet Safety
- Visit the Diocese Website to access the online safe environment training.
- September 1st
- October 10th
- January 3rd
- March 13th.
