On September 22, I completed (finally!) and turned in my license thesis. I began work on this degree in the summer of 2015. It was a wild ride for the last five years. The International Marian Research Institute has seen its director die unexpectedly and the termination of most of the degrees it has granted in the past announced effective in 2021. I will be one of the last students to graduate...
To assist families in their desire to live as Domestic Churches, the Diocese of Lafayette-in-Indiana is offering these free weekly catechetical materials designed to supplement the formation received in parish programs and Catholic schools. Parents are encouraged to: download the handout, watch the video with their children, discuss the reflection questions and make a plan for the weekly "family challenge." We hope that this initiative will be a blessing for your families and encourage more faith sharing and practices in your home. Click on "@Home in Faith" above to see this week's materials.

Please contact her at 765-664-6345 ext. 106 or by email at [email protected] if you are willing to help fill this need

You might have noticed recently that after the final blessing we have been starting to have hymns to Our Blessed Mother Mary fairly consistently. Strictly speaking, the Mass concludes with “Go in peace” - so there are no hard and fast guidelines for what we tend to call the recessional hymn. We do take a cue from the official daily prayer of the Church, the Liturgy of the Hours.

I wanted to give you a brief update on my academic work. As you know, I am completing an advanced degree in Theology. This degree would qualify me to teach theology in a seminary. The Holy See has asked Bishop Doherty to make sure that there were more priests in the diocese with these degrees.

The goal is to get to know one another and create a space where young adults can come together and talk about the faith. We will be sitting at whatever table is open at the time, but you will know it is us if you see a little ‘Caffeinated Conversations’ sign on the table. Feel free to come and bring any friends as well!
