Family Formation will replace the weekly Sunday morning religious education classes. This program’s unique format will draw your family together through the enthusiastic faith of your children. Its creativity and simple concepts make learning fun, as each lesson is written at an elementary level but with adult level instruction to guide and enhance your teaching. Parents do not have to be experts in the faith, just willing to devote about an hour a week to quality family time centered on Jesus.
The weekly lessons at home can be adapted to your own family schedule. These adult-led home lessons provide the backbone for your children’s spiritual formation. This comprehensive program not only engages young children, it draws families together, and equips parents to do a first rate job in teaching the Catholic Faith to their children.
For those children in eighth grade, Ms. Robyn Duffy will teach the eighth grade religion curriculum and conduct the preparation for the sacrament of Confirmation. This year, at least for the first semester, the eighth grade classes will be held via Zoom meetings.
Registration forms for Family Formation (and 8th grade SRE) as well as a letter from Fr. Christopher have been mailed home to families whose children attended SRE classes last year. Father Christopher will host Family Formation parent meetings after the 5:00 PM Mass on Saturday, September 12, and after the 10:00 AM Mass on Sunday, September 13. Attendance is only required at one of the parent meetings.
