REFLECTION OF THE WORD TODAY
Nehemiah presents us with a life of faith and a coherent commitment to the experience of God. He is going to lead a project to rebuild the town and the temple. and with him we learn that each person answers for himself, whether he is an example or not for others, and other people answer for themselves.
Jesus, as a great teacher and pedagogue, reminds us that neither He nor we have anywhere to lay our heads, that there are situations that turn us on, but that we are called to announce the kingdom of God. Yes, the teacher challenges us deeply when he affirms that whoever sets out on the path and continues looking back, towards the security that he left behind, is of no use for the kingdom of God. A challenge that launches us to travel the path that awaits us and, thus, respond to the experience of God and the commitment to which he sends us.
