Duties for the Director of Youth and Young Adults include but are not limited to: implementing, coordinating and expanding the High School Youth Ministry, Junior High Youth Ministry and Young Adult Ministry; appoint, train, catechize, evaluate, supervise and effectively utilize volunteer catechists,; and effectively communicate through all forms of parish communications, especially electronic media. The successful candidate must be a practicing Catholic in good standing and have a background in religious education or youth ministry. The duties of the Coordinator of Liturgical Music include but are not limited to: planning, rehearsing and executing music for all liturgies; directing and leading at least one choir; play/directing two English Language Masses per week, plus one Holy Day Mass in the evening; and ensure English music on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. bilingual Spanish Mass every other week. This is a part-time position of 15 to 19 hours per week. Qualified candidates would have a bachelor's degree in music or prior practical Church Music experience, the ability to direct a choir and an understanding of Catholic theology and scripture are preferred.
