I have been very excited for months now anticipating it. While our prior bulletin looked like it was designed over a decade before I was born and Latin was still used in the Church, it’s time for a change. It is our hope that you find the new bulletin useful and more appealing.
I know that the first question that some of you are asking is, "Father, how can we afford to have a color bulletin when we are operating at an almost $50,000 deficit for the 2019-2020 fiscal year?" St. Paul is indeed not having a good year financially, as income is down more than 20% relative to where we were last year. Some of this decline is due to lower Sunday collections. Most of it is due to not receiving a major bequest this year. However, getting our bulletin done professionally and in color actually will cost us less than doing it ourselves in black and white. Remember how the costs associated with making automobiles went down and the quality up when car production moved from a one-man workshop to an assembly line?
Three cheers for having a parish app, a church in which we can see, and a bulletin that we can easily read!
